Needed Car Repair

My Story:

I am applying for a grant for needed car repair. My car needs a Catalytic Converter and brake pads and rotors. I am disabled and I have limited range of motion in my right leg. I was diagnosed with myosarcoma cancer in the right leg, resulting in removal of leg muscle. Since my surgery, I have trouble standing for a long period of time and I tire easily. I need my car to get my doctors, physical therapy sessions, and the supermarket.

I live in Nassau County and you really need a car to get around. Due to the bad economy Nassau County has eliminated several major bus lines in my area. I live in government subsidized apartment for the disabled and elderly. I live on SSD; most of my expenses go towards bills and medical expenses. After I pay my bills, I have nothing left.

My car is important to have; I need it to get my doctors and physical therapy sessions. It is hard for me to depend on others to help me get around, that is why I am trying to hold on to my car.

Just recently my catalytic converter and brake pads and rotors went bad. My warranty coverage for my catalytic converter has expired. My mechanic informed me that to replace the parts it will cost more than I can afford. This is coming at a bad time for me because I just recently graduated from college and I am in the process of looking for work. I need my car to help me look for work.

At this time, I cannot not possibly come up with the money to repair my car. I am having a tough time trying to pay my bills, medical expenses, and car insurance payments. It has become stressful for me to keep up with paying my bills especially when I have no extra income coming in, I do not have the money to pay for the car repairs at this time, that is why I am trying to look for work.

I would be more than grateful and appreciative if I can get any help for my car. Thank you so much.
