On behalf of my entire family, I wish to thank you! I cannot express the amount of gratitude we have for each donor who cared enough to give of both their time and money to assure that we have safe food to eat. We have been without a refrigerator for about 4 months. This translates to no storage of food, the loss of insulin because the refrigerator went out, and the loss of food and money. With your generosity, we are now going to be able to store food, and have a cold drink. If you have ever experienced this loss, you know the frustration of not being able to prepare a nutritious meal. It is difficult to make many meals without eggs, milk, etc., so we had to be creative. We do not live close to a store, so frequent trips were not possible. Your generosity allows us to go to the store, buy refrigerated foods and rest assured that they will be safe to eat. I can give food to our sons and know that it is safe to eat. I can be assured that my insulin will be at the proper temperature, and will not have to discard bad medication. This act of yours assures my health to be regulated. Thank you life saver! There is a special place in Heaven for you! Again, my mere words cannot thank you sufficiently for your acts of generosity! I know that God gives us each a calling, and you have enabled our family to go forth and share the joy of Humanity with others. Our Refrigerator Has Died!
My Story:
Hello! Our family is in need of new appliances. We are a family of four struggling to make ends meet. My husband has a seizure disorder due to a head on collision with a drunk driver. He is permanently disabled, and income is very limited. We deliver ad bags to supplement his disability income, and both our sons are full-time college students who live at home to assist with care of their father and lower costs overall.
We have appliances that have over the years been worn out and repaired over and over. They are rusted and unsteady. We have gone through 3 used refrigerators and have lost countless amounts of food to unsafe temperatures, etc., and have been on occasion ill because of this. I have diabetes and need to have controlled temperatures for my insulin. Three of us have no health insurance and must buy medication with cash.
If only one of these can be purchased we must have a refrigerator. We live in a mobile home and do not wish for or need extravagance. We need safe and reliable. A new fridge would enable us to live a safe and clean life and would greatly ease our financial burden. We greatly appreciate your consideration for these items and appreciate that there is great need for many. We try to live a self-sufficient lifestyle, but this is just too much at one time. Thank you very much!
