I'm a Veteran & After a Dental Emergency, I Can't Fix My Car to Get to the Doctor!
My Story:
I am a veteran and have HIV, so I must keep healthy in all aspects of life. I am on a fixed income and have owned my car since 2004. I have literally rebuilt the car; it did not operate well at all. I have put in new struts, tires, brakes, exhaust, A/C compressor, clutch, alternator sensors, and injectors. I feel 100% confident that it will last me another 7-10 years without any issues once I finish these last few tasks.
I was all set to finish the repairs on my car until I had a dental emergency that cost me over ten grand to keep my teeth. Because I was not in combat, the VA did not give me dental insurance. There are now just three repairs left on my car, but after the dental emergency, I have no way to complete them. If I do not have these repairs, I could experience mechanical failure while driving. This could result in injuries or worse. I live in northern Colorado, and our public transportation system is so bad it basically doesn't exist. I really am at a loss now because I need my car to get to and from my VA appointments.
I'm asking for help with these final repairs, so I can get groceries, go to the doctor, and have my VA appointments. I'm getting older, so I cannot walk to places like I did when I was younger. Your kindness will ensure I am safe on the road, as I have no other family left to check in on me. I will not have to put my life on the life every time I need to run an errand, so I will be incredibly grateful for the help. Thank you.
