I Returned to Work Just 8 Weeks After Giving Birth, but My Leave Was Unpaid & We'll Be Homeless Now!

My Story:

I'm a single mother of 2 wonderful boys. I work from home for a life insurance company and always pay my bills, but it can get tough when life has other plans.

After I gave birth to my youngest son, my employer did not pay me for any maternity leave time I took. I returned to work as quickly as I was able to find childcare and recover from birth. This ended up being after about 8 weeks. After losing 2 months of income, I do not have enough money to cover all my bills, gas and groceries.

I am requesting assistance with my rent. This help would allow my 2 boys and I to have our bills paid, get from point A to point B, and eat. This act of kindness would be the answer we have needed for a very long time, bringing us stability after such a tumultuous period in our lives. We will not have to face homelessness, and that means the world to me as a mom. Thank you so much for anything you give to our situation.
