I'm not sure why I was chosen, but I am thankful to all of you. I want you to know that I usually wouldn't have done something like this, but I have learned that we have to ask for what we need, and I had to put my pride aside and think about my daughter. I Had to Send My Little Girl to Eating Disorder Recovery, & It Cost a Fortune! I'll Lose Power Now!
My Story:
I am a single mother of an 18-year-old daughter who loves to read in her spare time. I work and am in school getting my bachelor's in accounting. I wanted to be an inspiration to my daughter who does not want to go to college.
As a mother, I only ever want the best for my child. This is why I had no choice but to admit her into an eating disorder recovery center. At the end of 2022, she began a cycle of binging and purging that resulted in her losing 50 lbs. She was unrecognizable, and I felt like I was losing my little girl. She had been eating all the food in the house; I would have to take my food to the restroom with me, so she would not eat it. She was verbally abusing me, calling me very hurtful names, and I ended up having to send her to my dad's house in Oklahoma. This has affected me tremendously and caused me to fall into depression. My insurance deductible is so high that I had to take out loans to send her to treatment, and now I am falling behind on my bills because of my monthly payments. I am scared that I will be put out, and I am immobile right now. I use a walker, so homelessness would be especially terrifying.
I am humbly requesting help with my utility bill. This help would go so far. I would be able to pay my rent and keep my home up and running. This help would allow me to finish paying back my loan, so I can get stable again. Thank you so much for your compassion and giving if you can.
