I Was Forced to Return to Work Weeks After Giving Birth, & I Still Am Facing Eviction!

My Story:

I am a single mother of a 3-month-old daughter. My mom helps take care of my daughter, so I can go to work without paying for daycare. My mom is self-employed and currently going through a divorce, so her support means the world to me during this season in my life.

I was working full-time for a home health agency up until I gave birth, but in Nevada, workers only get 2 months of short-term disability at 60% of regular pay. I was short on funds, so I had to return to work despite still being in the initial phases of motherhood.

I am asking for help with my rent, so I can remain in my home with my newborn. After losing 40% of my pay and then only being able to return to work with part-time hours, I simply do not have enough to pay my rent. Your help will get us caught up and allow me to move on from the loss of income I experienced during my very short maternity leave. This assistance will prevent my infant, mom, and I from being forced onto the street; thank you so much for anything you can provide us with.
