We're Behind on Our Car Payment After My Fiance Suffered an Accident & Then a Wrongful Termination!
My Story:
I am engaged to a wonderful man. We have a 9-month-old little girl together, and she's our entire world. She is wicked smart and is very curious. We work very hard to support her and each other, and my fiance is a truck driver, and I'm currently in school pursuing my degree and a career that will keep us stable for years to come.
We were doing really well. Making ends meet, until January 16, 2023 when my worst nightmare came true. My fiance was involved in an accident while driving his semi-truck. He was going less than 25 mph getting onto the highway when his load shifted, and his truck rolled. He suffered a pretty bad head wound, bruising on his thigh and hurt his hand and ankle. His employer wrongfully terminated him soon after he asked for workman's compensation. He had worked for them for years and had always had a spotless record other than the accident. My fiance found it difficult to find work because of the nature of the accident. Once you put a truck on its side, even if it's no fault of your own, it's hard to find someone to hire you. He was off work for almost two months before he finally found another job. We've been stuck behind on a few of our bills since then, and we need urgent assistance to get caught up on the most pressing one, our car payment.
Our vehicle is on the verge of being repossessed, and we are desperate for assistance to ensure this doesn't happen. It's our only means of transportation, and without it, I can't get to school and my fiance can't get to work. If he starts missing time, he'll be jobless, and we can't weather that again. Truly, we would be very grateful for this support, and I promise that we will do what we can to pay it forward when we're caught up again.
