User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeWe are so overwhelmed and grateful for your financial support. Coming out of Josephines multiple brain surgeries and road to recovery, your donations have given us a chance to come out of trauma and transition into healing as a family as our main priority. We cannot possibly express our gratitude for your generosity during such a difficult time (for everyone even with such large problems due to the pandemic and inflation!). We thank you again for donating and wish all the best for you and your family too. We have an important week coming up with imaging and evaluations. Were hoping for all good news!

Our Daughter Had Two Brain Surgeries Last Month. I Missed Work Caring for Her & Need Mortgage Help!

My Story:

I'm married, and my wife and I have two amazing twin daughters. They're both 3 years old, and they're our entire world. Our daughter, Josephine, is a true fighter, and she just recently had to undergo two different brain surgeries. She had to have both of these surgeries last month, and so I took the entire month off to be with her while she recovered.

Thankfully, our daughter's health is improving, and she's on track to make a recovery from both of the surgeries. We feel very blessed to have been able to nurse her back to health, but the time that I had to take off work was unpaid, and that has caused us some financial difficulties. Without my income for this month, we're not going to have enough to cover our mortgage, and if we start to fall behind now, I don't know how we're going to catch up.

We live paycheck to paycheck, so falling behind would be difficult to recover from. On top of that, we'll have to find a way to cover the medical bills for our daughter's surgery, and even though we have insurance, those will probably be steep. With this help, we'll be able to keep a roof over our heads through this short-term crisis, but it will also give my wife and I some much-needed breathing room so that we can refocus on our daughter's health and what her and her sister need from us as parents. Truly, we would be deeply grateful for this support with our mortgage, and I promise that we will find a way to pay the generosity we're shown forward in the near future.
