We feel so blessed that our family will have a roof over our heads during the birth of our son and a place to gather during the holiday season! Our near future became clouded and stressful. Our dreams became shattered as we started to consider the possibility of having to transition to a shelter Or possibly move back to NC with our parents. Which would have resulted in us having to start from scratch with a newborn. Now we are able to see the light in our future and continue pursuing our goals as a family. Its good to know during these tough times in the world that there are people still willing to help those in need. We are forever thankful and hope that you and your families have a great holiday season!

After Leaving the Marines, We Fell Behind on Rent. My Wife is Pregnant. Please Help!

My Story:

I am a married father of two daughters, and my wife and I have a son due within the next two weeks. We're both really excited to welcome him to the world! My wife and I are both veterans of the United States Marine Corps, where we met. I recently transitioned out of the Marine Corps and am currently working as a warehouse supervisor at UPS. My wife just recently graduated college but can't currently work due to her pregnancy.

After leaving the Marines, my family is living very much from paycheck to paycheck. With my VA benefits being delayed longer than usual my family has fallen behind on a lot of our bills. This has also gotten worse as a result of my wife not being able to work, and I'm really worried about the situation we're in. Currently, we're behind on our rent, and I'm afraid that we're going to lose our home just as our son is being born. My greatest fear is that we're going to leave the hospital without a home to return to, so I'm seeking one-time assistance with our rent.

This generous support would tide us over until I'm able to start receiving my VA benefits and until my wife can return to work. Most importantly, this assistance will allow us to keep our home as we welcome our son to the world. We're hoping that we can get my benefits soon, but in the meantime, we would be extremely grateful to all of the kind and generous people who come together to save our home.
