I'm a Healthcare Worker, & It's Taken a Toll on My Mental Health. I Missed Work & Need Help Please!

My Story:

I'm a 32-year-old woman, and I have a great passion for helping people. I work in the medical field as a medical assistant, and I currently work in the inner city, and mostly with the homeless population. For years, I have been battling the opioid epidemic, and more recently, the Covid-19 pandemic. I live with my partner and my cat who we love to cuddle with. My partner is a night worker and manages a live music venue. When I'm not working, I love to go see shows at the venue he works at.

To be honest, I've really been feeling burnt out over the last two years. COVID was definitely a big stressor, but the work environment that I was in was incredibly toxic and mentally taxing as well. As a result, I decided to leave that position to take my current one working at a clinic in the inner city. It's a very difficult job most of the time, and even though I love my job, I've had to take some time off over the past few months to deal with my mental health. I've fallen behind on my bills as a result, and I need help if I'm going to be able to catch up.

One of the biggest bills that I'm concerned with is my phone bill because I need to be able to keep my service on so that I can work. My job means everything to me, and it's the only way I can keep earning a living. That's why I'm very humbly asking for this assistance with my phone bill. This support would allow me to keep working on behalf of my patients, and for that I would be very grateful. Thank you all for your generosity and compassion.
