Thank you to everyone who generous donated to myself and children. You're decision to help us has been a breath of fresh air. I can focus on keeping us safe and healthier. This ongoing pandemic has showed me good people still are willing to help families in need. I will keep the good deed going. I plan to contribute in the future.
I'm a Single Mother & I Had to Quarantine with My Children. Please Help Us Catch Up!
I'm a single mother with two handsome sons at home. It's been difficult raising two young children on my own, as my children are only 2 years old and 3 months old, but being a mother is incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I work part-time as a bus/car driver for an independent senior living resort, and I love my job and feel very proud to serve vulnerable seniors in my community.
Like I said, I love my job, but it doesn't allow us to live more than paycheck to paycheck, so it's difficult for me to manage interruptions to my income. My children and I all tested positive for COVID recently, and as you can imagine, that's a pretty huge interruption to our income, so I'm really struggling to keep up. I've had to quarantine and then care for my children who are also having to quarantine. All in all, I've missed several weeks of work and have fallen behind on our utility bills as a result.
I'm working on trying to find a second job in order to supplement our income, but I can't do that until my children are able to go back to daycare. In the meantime, I'm very worried that our utilities are going to be shut-off, and I don't have any way of being able to catch up on them before that happens. For that reason, I'm humbly asking for assistance with our past due utility bills. We would be very grateful for this assistance, and I promise that we will never forget the kindness and generosity we're shown.
