This person has left the following thank you note:
My family is not able to thank you enough for the blessing you have been to us in such a desperate time of need. With your help we are now able to overcome this temporary hardship in our lives and continue to provide for our children. The only way I could think to show just how truly grateful I am is to pay your generosity forward and be a blessing to someone else in need when we are back on our feet. Again my family and I are so grateful for the wonderful people who were able to help us.
My Family is On the Brink of Homelessness After My Husband Missed Work! Please Help.
I'm a stay at home mom caring for four children while my husband works as a full-time power equipment operator for a grocery distribution center; beyond working, he also is a full-time student and is aiming to get his degree so that he can find a job higher up the chain in his company. Our children are all fairly young and are 8, 7, 4, and 1 year(s) old. Our 8-year-old daughter loves reading and playing with her neighborhood friends; our 7-year-old son just recently discovered his own love for reading, and he loves playing with the wooden sword his grandfather made for him; our 4-year-old girl loves anything princess related and loves to play dress up; and last but not least, our 1-year-old loves going on walks with her mom and playing outside on her little plastic slide. Our children are our entire world, and my husband and I do our best to fight for them.
Our family earns enough to pay our monthly bills, but we do live paycheck to paycheck. We've struggled, and our budgets have become tighter and tighter after the birth of our most recent child and after our landlord decided to raise our rent a little over a year ago. So when my husband missed some work due to some negative side effects from getting his Covid-19 vaccine, it put us in a real rut financially. He's gone back to work, but even just missing a few days has put us in a difficult spot where we won't be able to pay our rent for next month. I'm worried that we could fall behind to the point where we're homeless and the six of us, including our four children under the age of 8 years old, are all out on the street or in a shelter with nowhere to go.
This assistance would be the lifeline my family needs to avoid homelessness, and we would be so incredibly appreciative of that. If we can get through this short-term crisis, we'll be back on our feet again in no time. It would mean so much to me as a mother to be able to guarantee a loving and nurturing home for my children in spite of the hardship we currently face. Thank you all in advance for helping us keep our home and for the generosity you've shown us in doing so.
