We've Lost Work to COVID Multiple Times & Need Help Catching Up on Our Water Bill!
We're a hardworking family of three adults. My husband and I have an adult son together who has grown up to be a very hardworking and put together young man, and we're so proud of him. He works full-time at a warehouse, my husband is an essential worker for a medical supplier who has been servicing hospitals by providing oxygen to patients, and I work as a federal employee and as an essential worker at a pharmacy. Even with all three of us working, we tend to live paycheck to paycheck most months, and we struggle with unexpected expenses.
We didn't have anything set aside when Covid-19 hit, so we've really struggled to get by. My husband was out of work for 6 months with no pay, and I had to quarantine several times with limited pay. Most recently, my son and I have both tested positive for it after an outbreak at his warehouse, and now, we both have to quarantine for 21 days with no pay. The only way we've been able to get by this past year has been going without paying some of our bills. We've fallen severely behind on our water bill because it was either that or we lose our home entirely. For a while they stopped shut-offs, but we were recently informed they're going to resume those soon and that we need to get current on our balance. We've been making small payments on it, but we don't have any way of catching up in time to avoid a shut-off, so we're humbly asking for assistance with our water bill.
Getting caught up and back on track with our water bill will be a huge help to my family. We'd be able to get completely caught up as we head back to work and wouldn't have to worry about having our water shut-off. It's been a hard year, but I think we're finally close to getting through this pandemic, and your generous assistance would get us one step closer to where we need to be in order to get back to being self-sufficient. I promise to never forget the kindness and generosity we're shown, and I will do my best to pay it forward.
