I'm Struggling to Keep My Home After Losing My Job to COVID! Please Help!

My Story:

I'm a 37-year-old father to the most amazing 1-year-old girl. She was born in January of last year, and she's the most important thing in my life. Per mutual agreement with her mother, I have her for half of the week and it's time that I really cherish a lot. To be brief, her mother and I tried to make it work so that we could all live together and so that her and I could parent together; however, that situation wasn't working out for us, and we had to go our separate ways. My daughter fills me with so much joy and is just such a positive spark in my life. She's young, but she has a warm heart and an affinity for animals that is just so natural. I do everything that I can to fight to keep her happy and to stay in her life.

Before the pandemic began, I was working full-time as an electrician at Intel, and I was doing really well for myself at the time. In fact, 2019 was a really good year for me. I was promoted twice and was handling most of the day to day tasks for the contract my company was working. Then, Covid-19 came and brought a lot of uncertainty with it. At first, I hadn't paid much attention to it, then our company started to react to the potential--now realized--economic fallout from the pandemic. In January, they began to lay people off, and that's when I knew things were going to get serious.

The first week that the pandemic hit America, I was exposed to Covid-19 and had to quarantine until I could test negative. Long story short, it took me almost two months to test negative, and then I ended up contracting COVID right after testing negative for it. By the time I could go back to work, there was nothing left for me to return to. I've been struggling and out of work since then, and I haven't been able to find relief anywhere, even in the form of unemployment benefits or state assistance. As a result, I'm behind on my rent and am facing imminent eviction, so I'm humbly asking for help with my rent.

My biggest fear is that I'll lose my home and will be unable to see my daughter. This is the hardest time I've had financially since I became and electrician, but thankfully, my old job has called me back and is starting another contract with Intel very soon. I'll be heading back to work in just a few weeks, but before then, I really need assistance if I'm going to avoid being evicted. I'm on the verge of making it through the pandemic, but I'm also just as close to collapse. Getting this assistance will make sure the latter doesn't happen, and for that I want to say thank you to everyone who helps me out of this mess.
