This person has left the following thank you note:

I, my husband and son would like to say how grateful we are for all that you have done. Many times people say words like 'Thank You' but words will never be able to express the gratitude we have. If we were in front of you, we would give you a firm handshake, a hug and a smile. But somehow that would not fully express how we feel. You have helped us in ways beyond words like grateful and thank you. These words only describe just a small part of how we feel for what you have done for us. Very Sincerely, The Anderson Family

I'm a Teacher Trying to Make it Through the Summer, & I Need Help Keeping Our Car Please!

My Story:

I'm a teacher, a mother, and a wife. My husband and I have been married for 24 years, and we have a kind, wonderful son together named Kasey. My husband is an excellent father, and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family, especially during times as hard as these. I'm also blessed to have been able to hold on to my job as a teacher through the pandemic. After working as a physical science teacher for more than 30 years, I couldn't imagine doing anything else!

I know we're not in as worse shape as some other people are right now, but we've really been struggling over the summer. As a teacher, I don't get paid until school starts up again in August, and my husband has also been out of work as well. He's suffered two pulmonary embolisms as well as other medical problems and hasn't been able to work for the past few years. Over this summer, I've tried to borrow what I can, budget what I can, and cut back on what we can afford to cut back on, and nothing has worked. Our bills have all piled up this month, and we're at the point where we've got to pick and choose between keeping our home or our car. I've managed to pull enough together to save one but not the other, and both are vital to my family. We've reached the point where we must now humbly ask for assistance with our car note, our car insurance payment, and our electric bill, so that we can also afford to pay our rent.

This assistance would free up enough to allow us to pay our rent on our own, and from there, we will be in a good position to make it until I can collect my first paycheck in September. I really want to thank you all for your consideration. I know that times are hard for a lot of people right now, so we really appreciate the fact that we feel like we have people when can turn to right now. I've struggled a lot lately, and there's no worse feeling as a parent than to not be able to provide stability for your child when they need it. For that reason, I would feel so relieved and so grateful to receive this help and to be able to tell my son that we will make it through this. Thank you for the kindness and compassion you have shown us by taking the time to read our story.
