We've Fled Domestic Violence & Are on the Verge of Homelessness! Please Help.
I am a call-center auditor that helps the company provide sincere and top class customer service. I have a six-year-old and 10-year-old daughter who are very outgoing and love to read. They're both really exceptional kids, and I love to spend time with them whenever I'm not working. We've been spending more time together due to COVID, and we love to ride bikes and go on family outings to local parks and things like that.
We recently escaped domestic violence, and it's been difficult to get back on our feet since then. The situation was so serious that I had to file a restraining order against my ex-boyfriend after he kicked in our door. I'm still suffering from injuries to my face and have had to go back forth to the doctor's office on several occasions. I've also had to deal with DCF, as my children were present after I was beat up by my ex-boyfriend. It's been difficult for them, and I'm doing my best to keep everything together for their sake. We've recently relocated and traded in our car as a result of the violence we suffered, and we're struggling a lot financially now. In fact, I'm really concerned that we're on the verge of being evicted if we can't catch up on our rent.
We desperately need this help if we're going to be able to hold on to our new home and avoid being evicted. I suffered grueling abuse at the hands of my ex, and since then it's been difficult to restart our lives. We've lived in fear for so long, it's hard to imagine living without it. We've lived in fear of abuse, violence, and now, homelessness. This help would represent an opportunity to escape that fear, and I promise that we will take that opportunity and use it to grow. All I have left to say is just 'thank you' for your generosity and kindness you have shown us in giving our story consideration.
