I'm a Single Mom with Another on the Way & We Need Help Keeping Our Home Please!
My Story:
I'm a single mom with a beautiful baby boy at home, and I have another on the way too! My son is just 5 months old, but he's very smart for a toddler and is already finding his voice. He's always been so good at brightening even the hardest days. We spend all day together everyday because I'm working from home currently as a call representative for Comcast. I'm really thankful to be in a situation where I can stay home with my son, but it's been tough to get by lately if I'm being completely honest.
I've always lived paycheck to paycheck, but since returning from maternity leave my income has been significantly reduced. I make most of my paycheck from commission, but I wasn't able to earn commission after coming back from maternity leave until recently. In addition to having my income cut down, I'm also drowning in hospital bills from giving birth to my son, and my car also just died so I'm having to take Ubers everywhere I go. I've gone through homelessness before and dug my way out of that situation for the sake of my son, but I'm a month behind on rent and need help if I'm going to avoid eviction.
The eviction moratorium expires soon, and I'm worried that we'll be put out on the streets if we can't catch up in time. Our leasing company isn't willing to work with us, so I'm terrified that we're about to be evicted. I'm humbly asking for help to keep us in our home. If we can get back on track with our rent, then I'll be able to take care of my son and his incoming sibling comfortably. I will make sure that my children hear about all of the people who came together to save our home when we needed help, and I promise to repay your generosity and kindness every day. Thank you all in advance for helping us keep a roof over our heads.
