After Relocating I Lost My Job & Got COVID! Please Help Me Keep My Home!
I'm a 35-year-old woman, and I just recently relocated to Baltimore from Florida. I left Florida in order to start my career as a chemist here in Baltimore. For as long as I can remember I've always loved science, and I truly love what I do. However, when the pandemic began, I was laid-off from the job that I moved to start working at. It's taken me time, but I've managed to get back to work at a different position.
When I lost my job last year, I managed to get on unemployment, but the moment I was able to start receiving them, the amount that I was getting was slashed to nearly nothing. On top of that, I contracted Covid-19, and that kept me out of commission for a long time. In fact, my sense of smell and taste still haven't returned almost four months later now. I'm back to working now, but the time that I was out of work and receiving reduced unemployment benefits got me significantly behind on my rent. If I can't catch up soon, then I'll lose my home.
It's been a hard year after losing, my job, recovering from Covid-19, and falling behind on my rent, and honestly, I'm trying to work through everything but am losing hope. Getting this help would let me keep my home, but it would also lift my spirits a lot too. Just to know that there are people out there fighting for me and who care about my well-being would give me what I need to push through. It would mean so much to me to be able to keep my home thanks to the kindness of strangers, and I will do my best to repay that kindness in the future. Thank you all for your consideration and generosity during this difficult time for me.
