This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThere just aren't enough good words to express our gratitude and love towards you who pitched in to help us. The fact that you don't know us on a personal level, yet donated to come to our rescue during this tough time affirms that there is still good, loving and compassionate people in this cruel and negative world. You embody what true compassion looks like and provide light where darkness is prominent. Your willingness to give to those who seek help makes me want to do the same for others. I live by 'do unto others as you'd want done to you,' and it's evident to me you do the same. My fiance and I are eternally grateful beyond belief for the contributions to help make ends meet. We will always remember who was there for us when we were going through a low in our life, you. From the bottom of our heart and soul, we thank you, thank you, thank you! Know this, your kindness doesn't go unnoticed by any means and will be returned to you, whether you're in a tough situation or not, goodness always finds its way back, believe it. Again, thank you very much. If I could, I would give you a big hug with 6-foot distancing. Please be safe, stay healthy and continue to be the greatness that you are!

My Fiance Lost Her Job to COVID & I'm Struggling with Medical Bills. Please Help Us Keep Our Home!

My Story:

I live with my fiance and her younger brother. We recently took over as his guardians when his mother kicked him out of the house. We're doing our best to take care of him and to make sure that he finishes high school with a degree. We live life fully because we're not promised tomorrow, so we take each day one step-at-a-time and enjoy exploring, going out, and trying new things. Currently, I'm the only one in our household employed due to Covid-19. I work full-time as a shipping/production consultant for FedEx, and my fiance is receiving unemployment after being laid-off due to Covid-19.

I'm extremely thankful to still be employed, but after a few unexpected expenses came up, we're struggling really hard to hold onto our home. Taking on my fiance's brother has been difficult financially, and even though I would do it again in a heartbeat, having an extra mouth to feed has stretched our finances even more thin than they were before. On top of that, I'm currently buried in medical debt from a recent visit to the ER, and that's really weighing us down financially. We're trying to build a future, so we've been doing our best to not have those bills go to collections. However, we're having trouble keeping up with all of our bills right now, and we need help with our rent to avoid falling further behind.

Before the pandemic, we lived paycheck to paycheck, and now with only one of us working, it's been even harder to get by. We just can't maintain our situation any longer, and we need help if we're going to keep our heads above water. Truly, this help would be lifesaving for us because we'd be able to keep our home and get current on some of our other important bills. From this point on, I think we'll be able to be self-sufficient, and my fiance and I will have a strong foundation to build a future together. In addition to that, we'll be able to continue to give her little brother a home while he finishes school and finds work or goes to college. For that, I want to thank all of you for your generosity and kindness in advance.
