My Fiance Has Cancer, Our Car Broke Down, & My Work Has Dried Up. Please Help Us Keep Our Home!
My Story:
Me and my fiance have two young boys together. Our boys are 2 and 4 years old, and they're the entire reason we keep pushing through these difficult times. My fiance is battling stage four cancer after working the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico from a few years back now. He's at high-risk for Covid-19 and can't work. I've been working at a call center for a while now, but COvid-19 has forced me to work from home. With the two boys at home too, it's hard to be successful working at the call center, so I've also been picking up orders for DoorDash on the side.
My commissions from work have dried up, and our car also recently broke down, so I can't deliver for DoorDash either. We're really in a bad situation now, and we haven't been approved for unemployment either. We can't afford our rent right now after getting our car fixed, which was a necessity because my fiance needs to get to and from his cancer treatments, and we need help if we're going to save our home.
We've already received a pay or vacate notice, so we need this help urgently. I have two young children and my fiance has cancer, so we just won't make it if we're evicted. We won't have anywhere to go, and we'll lose everything. I pray that we're never in this situation again, but we need a miracle if we're going to make it out of our current one. Thank you all in advance for being our miracle. This would mean more to me than words could ever demonstrate.
