I Lost My Job to COVID & Am Still Behind on Rent. Please Help!

My Story:

I'm a single mother of a handsome 3-year-old son. My son loves to read, play sports, and believe it or not, he also loves to help me clean! I'm so lucky to be his mother, and I'm incredibly thankful for him. I've always worked hard to provide for us, but lately that's become a lot more difficult because I'm out of work due to Covid-19.

I was originally scheduled to get back to work after being furloughed, but the company I was working for actually went under due to the fall out from the pandemic. It's hard when you expect to be going back to work any day, and then suddenly, you're completely out of a job. I'm doing my best to find work from home, but I haven't had any luck with that. I've never been without a job before, and I have a hard time asking for help, but we're two months behind on our rent. We're really close to being evicted, so I'm asking for help with catching up on our past due rent.

I've been searching for work every single day, but it's been impossible to find anything that I can do from home. I have to be home with my son because all of the childcare and schools are closed. This help would buy me the time that I need to find work, or for my son to get back to daycare. I know that with this one-time assistance we'll be able to make it through this situation while keeping our home. I know how much this type of help would mean to me, so I want to do my best to give back to someone else who's in as much need as my son and I are in right now. We'll never forget this generosity, and we want to thank everyone who helps us in advance.
