I Only Worked 15 Hours Last Month. As a Result We Need Urgent Help with Our Rent Please!
My Story:
I'm married, and my wife and I have two children together. Our oldest is our 6-year-old son who is a smart 1st grader. He loves playing football and playing with Legos too. Our 4-year-old daughter loves dancing, ballet, and gymnastics. My wife is a truly amazing woman, and she's the best mother to our children that they could ever hope for. Currently, she stays at home with our children during the day, and I work as a master machine operator/ programmer at a production company. I spend a lot of time at work and going to and from work because I have a 100-mile daily commute usually.
However, since the pandemic began, we've faced a significant reduction in hours. The hardest time we've had so far was back in December when I was only able to work 15 hours the entire month. I'm the primary earner in my household, so just surviving the reduction in hours I've faced has taken out our entire savings. We used the small paycheck I got in December to cover food for us and the kids, but that's all we had room for. That's gotten us behind on our rent, and even though my hours are a little better, we don't have any way to catch up at all.
I'm worried that we won't be able to catch up before the eviction ban eventually expires or when it's time to renew our lease, so I'm asking for this help before it's too late. As long as my hours go back to normal over the next few weeks, we'll be able to pay our expenses and rebuild our savings, but I'm worried that even with normal hours, we'll still face eviction eventually. We're under a lot of pressure right now and getting this help would do a lot to relieve that, but more than anything, it would keep a roof over my young children's heads. For that, we couldn't thank you enough for this generous help. All we can do is try our best to repay this help in the future by doing an act of kindness ourselves, and we certainly will.
