My family would like to thank all the donors that voted to fund my request. It means the world to me that there are still people out there with kindness in their hearts and willing to give up some of their own to help others. Receiving these funds will help in so many ways. We could not afford to lose anything else due to COVID and I could definitely see that happening in the near future. We work so hard to make sure our kids grow up happy and healthy (spoiled maybe :) lol) but this pandemic almost costed us everything. We appreciate all your help and consideration.
We Lost Our Jobs to COVID & Will Lose Our Car Too without Help Soon!
My Story:
My household consists of me, my fiance, and our two children. Our children are from a previous marriage, but we're raising them as our own, and they really love their soon-to-be stepfather. My son 5 years old and is attending a school that he loves. My daughter is 10 years old and lives with me and her father evenly.
The pandemic has forced me out of two different jobs now, and it has shutdown production at the company my fiance works for too. We're down to absolutely no income because we can't find work anywhere. I'm worried about losing everything we've worked so hard for the past few years, specifically my car. We're behind on our car insurance payments and are going to lose that soon without some help. We need our car to get the kids to and from school and to get to different job interviews we have lined up.
Getting help with this bill would allow us to continue our job search, but it would also free up money that we desperately need to pay rent. We've got to keep our car and our home through the winter because without either one, I'm worried I will lose custody of my children. Our living situation is the most important thing to take care of right now, but we can't do that if we can't drive to look for work. This help would see us through the winter, and it would ensure that we're heading in the direction of self-sufficiency once more. Thank you for your kindness and for taking the time to consider our story.
