User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeWords can not describe the amount of thankfulness I had when I saw that my request was funded. From the bottom of my heart, thank each and every one of you for helping me and my children. It takes a very selfless, gracious and kind person with a huge heart to help someone they've never met. I would also like to thank Modest Needs. If it weren't for them and kind people like you, none of this would have ever been made possible. I am very grateful and hope to one day be able to extend the offer to help someone else.

My Kids Won't Be Able to Attend School If Our Power Is Cut Off Tomorrow! Please Help.

My Story:

I'm a single mother of three beautiful children, two boys and one girl. My oldest son is set to graduate high school next year and hopes to go to college on a scholarship. My daughter is very creative and loves to sing and dance. My youngest son is only 2 years old but is adorable and intelligent for a toddler. It's hard to balance taking care of them with my work schedule because I work in a hospital and my hours are crazy sometimes. My oldest does a lot to help me out and I couldn't be more thankful for him and just all of my kids in general. However, my hours haven't been the same since Covid-19 began and it has really hurt my ability to keep us above water financially.

We've always lived pretty much paycheck to paycheck, making just enough to cover monthly bills, childcare, and my children's needs. So, when my hours were cut due to Covid-19, it made it really difficult to stay on top of our expenses. Thankfully, my hours are back to full-time but missing out on hours got us in a hole that we can't seem to dig ourselves out of without some help. Specifically, I need help taking care of our electricity bill because I absolutely have to keep the power on while my kids attend school virtually.

My oldest has already applied for a job and is doing the best that he can to help, but I don't want him to bare that burden while he's trying to go to college. Getting this bill taken care of would go a long way toward digging us out of the hole that Covid-19 got us into, and we would be forever grateful for that. Thank you for your help and generosity in advance.
