This person has left the following thank you note:
I am in sales and have been working throughout the pandemic but my income has dropped and it has been difficult to make rent and pay all my bills. It has been such a worry to fall behind financially. I am so grateful to Modest Needs and all the caring people who donated to help me with my car payment during this challenging time. It is such a relief. Thank you so very much!! I will pay it forward as soon as I can.
COVID Has Reduced My Income to the Point Where We Could Lose Our Car without Help!
I'm a single mom, and I have two great kids. My youngest still lives with me, and we love to hike in our incredible national forests during the summer months. We are real nature lovers, and we spend as much time outside as we possibly can. We really care about our community, and my daughter even puts together care packages with her friends to give out to the many houseless people we have here.
I work full-time in sales but have lost a lot of income since March due to the pandemic. I have gotten behind on a lot of my bills as a result and have had a lot of trouble catching back up. Right now, I'm behind on a car payment and am worried about it being repossessed if I can't take care of it soon.
We can't afford to lose our car because without it, I will have no way to get to work. My job will start advertising again soon which will be a boost to my income hopefully, and my daughter has been searching for a job to try to help out too. This help would alleviate us from the fear of losing our only means to and from work, and it will free up income to be used towards other expenses like rent. We hope to contribute in the future, and we will do our part to pay it forward when we can. Thank you for your generosity and compassion during these uncertain times.
