Covid-19 Laid Me Off! My Dog and I Need Help Avoiding Homelessness!
I am a single 26-year-old girl living with just my dog. We moved to Florida from Ohio three years ago and have not looked back since. My dog is 11 years old and is a husky/boxer mix but looks more like a wolf! I love her with all my heart, and I would not be anywhere without her. I am an extremely hard worker, and I have been employed since I was 15 years old. This is the first time I have ever been unemployed, and it is extremely difficult for me to ask for help.
I was furloughed back in March when the Covid-19 pandemic began, but that furlough has turned into full-blown unemployment. Thankfully, I had some money saved up because I have been working for a long time, even if that work was just paycheck to paycheck. I worked hard to save money, so it's hard to watch all that hard work go to waste over something that I can't control. I have essentially run out of money, and I need to take care of my bills soon before I get behind. I am confident that I can get back to work soon, but I need help with my rent in the meantime because I cannot work if I get evicted.
My dog and I would be so appreciative for any help that we can get. It has been a struggle just to make it through these past few months, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I know I can get there with some help. I know that there are people out there who are struggling worse than I am, so when I am back on my feet, I want to return the favor to another applicant on this site. I know what it means to struggle, and I know what my help would mean to someone else. Thank you for the generosity and grace you all have not only shown me, but all of the other applicants as well. I will never forget the support I receive.
