My husband and I are very impressed with your heart's desire to help fund our direst need during these extraordinary times. Although, many families like ours are probably still waiting to be funded, I feel so blessed that exactly one week after I had my baby daughter, Naya (11-23-2020) and I was worried about whether my husband and I were going to be able to keep a roof over our baby daughter's head, I get surprised with an e-mail from Modest Needs, explaining that our request for assistance has been funded by heroes like you. If you can only imagine the difference you made in our life situation today, and see the happiness you brought to our humble home, especially now around Christmas time. We Have a Little Girl On the Way, but Thanks to COVID, Without Help, She's Going to be Born Homeless
My Story:
I'm a wife and mother in my 6th month of expecting a baby girl. My lovely husband is such a sincere and hard-working man. He worked in construction while I was an attorney's assistant. We were so excited to become a family and build a beautiful future for our children; however, we both lost work due to the pandemic and are struggling really hard financially. We're really sacred that our daughter won't have a home to come back to after she's born.
Both my husband and I are now relying on my only source of income, EDD. My husband does not get unemployment benefits, and it is impossible for two people to live off of this amount alone. With just this income, we will not be able to get any essentials for our baby girl. We urgently need help with paying our rent for this month.
This aid will help my husband and I catch up on rent and focus on paying other bills. It will give us the chance to prepare some essentials for our baby daughter too. We are both focusing on finding a job from home since most workplaces have shut down again by order from the governor, and we will do our best to save up should something like this occur again. Your help would be highly appreciated and will make a long-lasting impact on our little family. One day I will be able to tell my children that during such difficult times, it is the people in the community, both locally and nationally, who make a difference in the lives of others through their heroic acts of kindness and mercy. That way my children will learn to do the same for others when they grow up. Thank you all for your understanding and generosity.
