This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThank you for being there! I can't thank you enough for helping us through the toughest year of our young lives. I feel so overwhelmed right now with gratefulness. We applied for so many things in July when we went through Covid and two weeks off work... we never received very much, other than some help from friends... We are still getting by, but I can confidently tell you, this money will go towards some of our payment arangements and being able to support ourselves through the even slower months of Dec/Jan. I have prayed that God would provide, and he always does. God bless you, and Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas! Hoping the best for you and your family, and thank you again. - Natasha, Harley, Krieger

We Both Work Hard but We Both Caught COVID. Now We're on the Verge of Losing Our Home.

My Story:

My boyfriend and I both work in the service industry. The restaurant he works at closed for about a month during Covid-19, and I have had reduced hours since I returned to mine. My employer closed for a few days after an employee tested positive for the virus. Then recently, we both tested positive for Covid-19 and have been quarantined for almost two weeks, which is two weeks without pay. We are used to getting full-time hours, and we do pretty well at keeping up with our bills. My boyfriend has a 13-year-old daughter that he pays child support for, so some of our income goes towards that expense.

Since the pandemic started, we have been struggling to make the ends meet. We do not really have any other outlets for help right now, and I have not received any unemployment benefits but recently applied for them again. In the meantime, we really need help paying our rent.

I feel like if we can get past this hurdle and catch up on bills, we can get back to a little bit of normalcy. I think we have both been so stressed out between being sick, getting tested, communicating with all of our debtors and our places of work. It has taken a bit of a toll on our personal relationship. I am trying my best not to take out a payday loan or anything like that, as I am working towards getting myself out of credit card and loan debt already. I would like to have a sense of stability and be able to breathe a little easier knowing I do not have to overdraw my account or ask for an extension on rent or worse lose our home. We have always worked so hard; I would love to get past this and get back to coming out on top of our bills. Thank you, sincerely, for your help during this difficult time in our lives.
