I'm a Single Mom of 3. I'm About to Go Back to Work but Can't Pay Rent. Please Help Us!
My Story:
I am single mom of 3 beautiful daughters, whom are 13, 11, and 8 years old. The oldest 2 are in South Carolina with their father. My youngest loves to dance and go swimming.
Like many people, I was laid off due to COVID-19 in March. Since then, I've been looking for long-term job opportunities while barely scraping by on unemployment. I have a lead on a new job that I think I have a very good chance at getting, but I've just learned that they're taking away our supplemental unemployment benefit. Without that supplement, we'll have to choose between paying rent and eating until I get that new job, and I can't get that new job if I'm living out of my car with my daughter.
Please, please, can Modest Needs help us with our rent this month? It has to be paid by the fifth, and I just don't have it for the first time in my life. For us, this funding would be life-changing. It would not only help us this month but increase my chances of getting this new job, and once that happens, I'll be able to care for myself & my daughter with a little left over to save. Please help us if you can. I'm afraid that without you, we'll be lost.
