I am a Single Mother Who was Furloughed and Now my Family Needs Your Help!

My Story:

I am a single mother of two. My children are 21 and 17 years old, and they are both full-time students who I could not be prouder of! We also have my 81-year-old mother living with us, and we take care of her. I love my family and they mean everything to me.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I was furloughed, and it has put me through a significant financially hardship. I have been trying to apply for unemployment benefits, but to no avail. Without any income, it has been extremely difficult to keep up with all of our bills. Furthermore, I recently underwent treatment for breast cancer, and while I am thankful to have survived it, the treatment put a strain on us financially as well. We desperately need help with some of our bills that we are behind on. Specifically, we need help with our phone bill, our internet bill, and with our car insurance payment.

Both of my children are schooling remotely, so it is imperative for us to have access to the internet and to our phones. I also need to keep our car insurance paid, so that when work reopens, I can return without issue. I just want to get back to a place where I can provide for my children and my mother again, but until then we need your help getting through these chaotic times.
