Coronavirus: Student and Hardworker Needs Help with His Rent after Being Laid-off
I am a 23-year-old full-time student and a full-time worker as well. Recently, I moved into an apartment with friends to be closer to work and school, as my previous residence was too far away from both. I am not married, and I try my best to be as productive as possible and to be a young role model to my peers in school and as a leader to my coworkers.
After the Covid-19 pandemic struck, I was told that my workplace was forced to lay off hundreds of employees without advance notice, me being one of them. This has caused a lot of turmoil in my life, as I lived dependent upon each paycheck afforded to me. I now need help paying my rent.
If assisted, my roommates and I will be able to pool the other monies we have, organizing to get proper meals and covering the other outstanding expenses hanging over our heads. We understand that this pandemic was unexpected and that it has taken a horrendous toll on everyone, but the vast amounts of people that have taken the initiative to assist people like myself is truly a blessing. Thank you to all of you who have taken that initiative; it is truly a beautiful thing to witness this type of unity.
