Coronavirus: Dispatcher on Leave Due to Asthmatic Child. Need Rent Help

My Story:

I am a single mother of two beautiful daughters. I work during nights as a 911 dispatcher for my local Police Department. I work nights in order to be home during the day with my daughters since their schools closed due to COVID. My 9 year old daughter loves reading and writing. My 7 year old daughter has medical issues due to a hole in her heart from birth. This has caused her to have asthma and very bad allergies along with low energy. She is high risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus therefor she has been confined to the apartment for several months.

I make enough to pay our monthly bills and I live pay check to pay check. With everyone being home the past few months it seems like our grocery bill has quadrupled and of course our electric bill has increased as well. This month I was able to pay rent, although it was 2 weeks late. The first is quickly approaching and I am very stressed and worried about how I am going to pay my bills. I am asking Modest Needs for help with our rent.

This funding will allow me to have a little extra money in the bank so that I am ahead and prepared for bills and not so stressed. My job is stressful and gives me enough anxiety, worrying about whether or not we have a roof over our heads is more added stress. I feel this will give me relief and be a happier person and mother to my daughters. These difficult times have allowed us to give back to those in our apartment complex in many ways. My daughters have made friends with several of the elderly residence, they take their trash to the dumpster for them and I do their grocery shopping for them in order to allow them not to take the chance of being exposed to the virus. I hope that we will be able to give back in further ways once our finances aren't as strained
