Coronavirus: Reduced Work Hours For Single mom. Please Help With Electric Bill
I am a single parent taking care of my 15-year-old daughter, who is very outgoing, smart, funny and who loves to help others. I have been working in the automotive field going on 5 years now, and I enjoy what I do.
Like many other single parents, I am just constantly stuck trying to make ends meet at the end of every month. With a growing 15-year-old girl, the resources necessary to keep my household afloat are not easy to attain by any means and every dollar earned is essential to that task. Since the pandemic has caused my hours to be reduced at work, I have been forced into taking away from one bill to pay the other, more pressing, bill. This crisis has been very stressful on me both mentally and emotionally. The uncertainty of our situation, not knowing when things will get back to normal, is heartbreaking for me because I cannot reassure my daughter. Right now, we need help with our electric bill because she is attending school remotely and will not be able to continue to do so without the power being on.
The funding will help get me back on track by freeing up some other income to be able to pay my bills on time moving forward. This pandemic was definitely unexpected and devastating, but I know that we can all make it through together if we can just show each other that there is hope. My daughter and I would like to thank you all for your generosity in advance.
