Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

These past few months have been very difficult for our family. Our series of unfortunate events left us feeling discouraged, afraid, and sad. As a result of your kindness, caring, and compassion, you have broken the veil of darkness and despair and become beacons of light and hope. The words thank you seem inadequate because of the extraordinary relief you have provided our family. Thank you for your donations, for believing in us, and for helping light our way to a better future. We pray that we can pay it forward in the not too distant future in honor of all of you. We will be crying tears of joy tonight when we welcome 2020. TY! TY! TY!

My Husband is a Veteran. He Was Temporarily Unemployed & We're Scheduled for Eviction. Please Help

My Story:

I am permanently disabled due to Multiple Sclerosis. In my free time I love to craft and read. My husband is an Air Force veteran who just started a new job in the hospitality industry. He loves sports and being outdoors. We have an adult daughter and a 4 year old granddaughter.

Due to my health situation, my husband has been the primary income earner for the past 10 years. After working with the same company for 3 years, he unexpectedly lost his job when new management took over. This put us in a financial bind. We have always lived paycheck to paycheck and been frugal, but have never had much of a savings. After 2 months with no income, and fighting unemployment, my husband finally started a new job last week. His first paycheck doesn't arrive until the 3rd week of October which will cause us to default on our rent. We need Modest Needs help with this months rent. I am afraid to end up on the street with my health conditions.

Getting our rent paid will alleviate so much stress and worry and allow my hard working husband to focus on his new job. It will allow me to stop having fears and nightmares about homelessness. Once we get caught up, we plan on replenishing our emergency fund and hopefully paying it forward.
