I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. People like you help restore my faith and know there is goodness out there. Thank you again and God bless Dawn

Keep Lights on For Single Mother After Car Repairs

My Story:

I am a single mother to a teenage boy. About a month ago, my son's friend had some trouble at home and came to live with us. My son struggles with depression because his father is not an active part of his life. His friend is very emotionally unstable because of his home life and his poor relationship with his parents.

I now support 2 children on a single parent income. I had just enough to pay for my current expenses but with an extra mouth to feed, it has become increasingly difficult. I have a full time job with a non-profit agency and drive for Lyft in the evenings and weekends. Recently, my car needed repairs and our cat got sick and needed to be put down (it was my son's cat that he had for 15 years). These unexpected bills have put me in a financial bind that I was not expecting. I now need your help with my electric bill.

I was unable to make a minimum payment and I just received a shut-off notice. With this help, I will be able to get back on track with my utilities and not have the stress I have now with the threat of a disconnection of services. I quit driving for Lyft to save my car from further wear & tear on my vehicle and applied for a part time job down the street from me so I can walk to and from work. Your help would mean so much to the boys and I.
