Missed Work After Hit and Run, Please Help With Rent

My Story:

I am a married man to my lovely young wife. We are currently in our fourth year of marriage. My wife is involved with our Faith community where she volunteers her time working with youth and young adults for natural and spiritual enrichment. I am a full time driver working on the Lyft platform.

My income gained from driving generally covers our bills yet we definitely live paycheck to paycheck and sometimes a little behind depending on how my wife's health is doing. Earlier this year I was hit by a hit and run driver and was unable to work for about two weeks. Seeing that my driving job is our sole source of income that two weeks not working set our bills back substantially. Since being able to get back into another work vehicle, catching back up on bills has been a daunting task. Our rent has suffered as all our bills have. Also my wife has medical conditions that demand i be able to take care of her day and night. We graciously request Modest Needs help with making our rent payment.

Receiving assistance with our rent would bring us back into a current state with our landlord which helps our case tremendously in renewing our lease and of course keeping a roof over our heads. Also we can begin to re-build our savings to be better prepared for situations like this. Your help will alleviate the stress from not knowing whats going to happen with our living situation, and allow us to focus on my wife's health.
