Miss Work, Need Help With Electric Bill
I am a married mother of two beautiful daughters. My 11 year old loves outdoors and music. She is in Orchestra in school and is doing very well in it. My 20 month old is one of the happiest babies I have ever known. She is super smart and learning faster than we can teach her. Both girls love to play with our two dogs. Ruby is my 3 year old Boston Terrier service dog. Our 10 month old mutt Emerald is a comfort dog for my husband and just loves to play. I work full time from home for Amazon and my husband is a shipping clerk with Chicago Office Technology Group, an affiliate of Xerox.
We survive ok paycheck to paycheck for the most part. We used to even have a surplus that we were starting to save. But four months ago my husband injured his back and was on short term disability for 3.5 months. Now that he is back to work, I know we can get back on track, but because of the lessened income the last 4 months, we ran through all of our savings and got behind on several bills, including electric trying to make sure we paid rent and had food. On top of all of this, we have several medical bills from my health problems and from his injury that has impacted our income as well. We are asking Modest Needs to help us pay our electric bill.
We have reptiles in the home that have been rescued, and their lives depend on electric lights. All of our heat and cook tops are electric as well. This funding will bring us current on our electric bill so we can go back on budget billing and hopefully avoid this situation again. Our family relies on our electricity and a shut off would cause problems not only for our pets, but my husband and I rely on electricity for medical equipment as well. Your help will make it easier to maintain our health while we catch up to our bills.
