This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeYou have given my family the unmeasurable gift of time with our newborn. A rare gift from complete strangers that even our own government cares nothing about. This kindness you have shown us is giving my family the irreplaceable ability to heal and bond with our beautiful four-week-old baby girl. This vital time home as a family would not be possible without you. 'Thank you' is truly too small of a phase to express our gratitude. So I hope you understand what this gift means to us and I can't wait to be in the position again to pay it forward. Thank you for sharing with us some of the love in your heart. Amber

Please Help Expecting Couple With Rent After Maternity Savings Had to be Spent On Transmission

My Story:

My husband and I have been together for 8 years, and of those we have been married for 4. We have a handsome 3-year son who loves dirt bikes, playing outside and who is very excited for a baby sister to join us in the next 6 weeks. Daddy works full time for a communication company and I currently work for a Doctors office until I go on Maternity leave.

While we are both working we are able to make and meet our basic monthly expenses but we tend to live paycheck to paycheck with the exception of a small amount monthly being deposited into our maternity savings. We have worked very hard to build some savings for maternity and small emergency use. Unfortunately, last week the transmission in our truck went out it is going to cost a minimum of $4500.00. We had to pay this as the truck is not paid off and my husband needs it for work. This is a huge hit financially as it will basically drain our savings that was supposed to be used for maternity and emergency use only. In addition due to a pregnancy complication that is known as complete placenta previa, I am at high risk and have to be prepared to go on bed rest any day. Even if I manage to avoid early bed rest I will not have an income about 5 weeks. We need Modest Needs' help to pay for our rent.

The assistance we could potentially receive would help give us a better chance at covering most of our mandatory monthly expenses through the minimum 8 weeks that I need to heal and stay on maternity leave. Your help with rent this coming month would greatly reduce our stress levels in knowing we can at least make rent for the next month or two making it more realistic for one of us to stay home with our new baby girl while healing from the C- Section that I have to have. It is extremely hard to ask for this help as we pride our selves in being able to manage our money. We have even taken classes to help ourselves in the long run. Unfortunately, life had other plans this time around. Anything to help get us through this financially difficult time yet, joyful time is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
