This person has left the following thank you note:
I want to truly thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for your contribution. You didn't have to fund me, but I am forever truly grateful. This transition from the military to the civilian world has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my whole entire life. To go from supporting a family fully through my military earnings, to not knowing how I am going to keep the lights on and food on the table has been extremely stressful. Thankfully, things are beginning to look better, I see light at the end of the tunnel, and have been receiving some upcoming job interviews that look very promising. Your contribution will definitely help us to be able to weather the storm just a little bit longer, until we get back on our feet. From myself and from my family, thank you.
Retired From Military, Please Help Veteran Keep Lights on for 4 Children
I am married with 4 boys ages 17, 13, 8, and 6. We are a very loving family who stays very active in sports. My wife loves to participate in marathons, I work out regularly 5-6 days a week, and my boys are all into football, basketball and track. I look forward to working as a police officer, because it will provide me the opportunity to continue to serve my community and help others in need of assistance.
I recently retired from the military as of Sep 1, 2018. This retirement was not planned, as my initial plan was to make rank, be promoted, and re-enlist for another 4 years in the military. However, I was not promoted in June and was forced to retire, since I could not do over 20 years in the military. I have been working hard trying to find a job since then and I am currently in the process of being recruited to be a Police Officer. My application has already been approved, but there are still a few more steps required. I just need short time assistance that would help me stay afloat while I am unemployed and in transition. I am guaranteed to be working in November, but I have no way of paying my bills this month. My wife's income needs to be used to pay all of our past due amounts for our vehicles. Once I start working again, we will be in a great financial position, but we are really struggling right now. Please help us with our past due electric bill.
This funding will impact my long term situation, if I am placed in a financial hardship this could potentially cost me my employment. Personally, it would greatly decrease the stress and the burden that are on the shoulders of my wife and I. We have 4 boys we need to feed and provide for and I don't want to my kids to see us go from a great life in the military to seeing us struggling, getting our lights cut off. Your help would also allow me to put a smile back on my wife's face, because I was still able to do something to help our family. Right now, I feel hopeless.
