This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThere is a G.K. Chesterton quote that says; 'I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.' That is how I feel upon receiving this news today! I stood in line at a food bank this week with many of the homeless population in my city. I felt embarrassed at my need when most of them didn't have homes, but I also felt the desperation of not knowing how I would feed myself for the week if I didn't. Being told this request was funded has an even greater blessing following that experience. I am grateful beyond measure and I would hug you each with great enthusiasm if I could.

Single Woman With Chronic Health Issues Needs Mortgage Help After Deaths in Family

My Story:

I am a single, never married, woman with chronic migraines, diabetes and fibromyalgia. I am a mental health counselor working at a non-profit counseling center. I work there because I can control my case load in order to manage all of my health issues. I make less money but stay healthier because of the control i have over how much I work. I love the outdoors, crafting, reading and tending my small balcony garden.

Last year my sister-in-law died suddenly 13 months after my brother died. They made my nephew (currently 23 years-old) heir and executor of their estate. I live in Colorado and they lived in Iowa. My nephew knew nothing about handling this responsibility. I do not have benefits like vacation and sick time. In order to help my nephew, I made 6 trips of unpaid time to help him. have received some help from my church and have been taking babysitting jobs on the side to try to deal with being behind on my bills, but not making much ground. The impact on me personally is that my health has taken a turn continuing to make work difficult. Last month I chose between groceries and insulin needles. I am overwhelmed and don't really have anywhere to go. I need Modest Needs help with my Mortgage.

This will bring my home current and relieve fears that I could end up losing my condo. The October payment would also then allow me to put some extra money at my HOA which is behind a bit, and a vet bill that came up after taking a cat from my sister-in-law's home after her death and suddenly having the cat get sick and die a couple months ago. It really just takes the pressure off. Thank you for any help you can provide.
