This person has left the following thank you note:
My husband and I would like to give a most heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to Modest Needs on our behalf. Last year I quit my job to be a full time caregiver for my husband, he needs so much help with his daily needs, bath room, dressing, meds and meals. Our last action will be to place him in a nursing home and I do not want to do that as long as I am able to care for him. Your very generous donations are allowing us to keep our mortgage payment paid so we do not lose our home. You have restored my faith in the kindness of strangers and given me the will to keep going. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Seniors and Navy Vet Need Mortgage Help After Truck Repairs
My husband and I have been married for 40 years. He is a Navy Veteran and is disabled due to two surgeries on his right leg. He is unable to complete some daily tasks without help such as the bathroom, some dressing, meals and meds. I am his full time caregiver and I do not work outside the home since he needs so much help. We are on a limited social security income, so any unexpected expenses leave us with not much left over to pay our everyday expenses.
As luck would have it, the trucks brakes and the starter need repair right away. We only have one vehicle to get back and forth to town for groceries, doctor visits and church. With us at the age we are and John a veteran, we feel we should be able to pay our bills even when we have an unexpected expense. We did not want to ask for help but we need to now. After making payments toward the repair it has put us behind. We do not want to be without a home, but we want to be able to pay our bills like we should. Please help us catch up with our mortgage.
This funding will help us pay the truck repair bill in full and not fall behind on our mortgage. Your help will bring ease of mind that this one bill will be paid. This will help us know that there are great people in the world that are ready to lend a hand in any situation.
