Elderly Couple Needs Help With Propane Due to Medical Costs
My Story:
My husband and I are elderly. My husband is 77 years old and is in very very poor health. I am 71 and a diabetic. I am also my husband's primary caregiver. I have to take him to and from all his doctors' appointments as well as helping with all his physical needs such as helping him dress, bath and walk. My husband can not take the cold anymore and he gets very cold even when it is hot outside.
Back in April, he spent three days in the hospital. He has to see up to 3 doctors now including a heart, stomach and his regular doctor. He also has to get labs done almost every month. He can not handle stress of any kind and between going to the doctors, have labs done and worrying about paying the bills and having money for gas to get to all the appointments is very very stressful. We need help with our propane bill. After all these medical expenses, and living on only retirement income, we cannot afford this. They will not fill up our propane bill until the past due amount has been paid. We really need your help, as my husband cannot take the cold.
Getting our propane bill taken care of before we are due for a fill-up come October will get us back on track for my husband's health [both mentally and physically]. We both don't sleep very well and I worry about my husband's health as well as how am I going to pay all my bills. Your help will bring us current with all of our bills and help with our sense of stability. Thank you for considering my request.
