I'm A Recently Retired Army Veteran and My Wife Has MS. We Need Mortgage Assistance.
My Story:
I am a married father of 3 boys. My oldest son, age 21, has Asperger's syndrome and recently moved out into his own apartment. Although things are difficult at times for him, he is doing well overall. He loves to write and has a part time job. My middle son, age 17, is a junior in high school and loves soccer. My youngest son, age 15, is a sophomore in high school and loves basketball and drawing. I just retired from the Army after 20 years of service and currently seeking employment. My wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 3 years ago and is limited with work due to driving because of vision loss. She loves photography, event planning and decorating. She is working with the local OVR office to start a business from home.
I retired from the Army on February 1st, 2018 and have been job hunting and interviewing for a new career since October of 2017. We moved back to our home town to be close to family since my wife's diagnosis. We are living on my retirement from the Army, but I my last normal paycheck was withheld to pay for final expenses related to my service. I am actively searching for employment, but missing that final paycheck has put us behind. We need Modest Needs' help with our mortgage payment.
We are trying not to lose our home. Your help will keep our mortgage payment current. Our family has moved around for the last 20 years from military base to military base. We finally have a house of our own and are living close to family. It would mean the world to us to be able to keep our home and not have to move again. Stress is a big trigger for my wife's MS to flare up and your help to pay our mortgage will relieve some of that stress. We are so thankful for organizations like this who are there in times of need. Our family has always been giving to others and we will definitely pay it forward when we are back on our feet.
