This person has left the following thank you note:

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your help to me and to my girls at this time. I feel that the words 'Thank you' are not even enough to convey my gratitude. It's a tough road and I am fighting every day to ensure that I am here not just for myself but for my girls. To have persons like you who are known to me simply as 'donors' and whose faces I may never see or that I may see but never know that you are the persons who have helped is surreal, yet it fills my spirit as you may be the 'angel' sitting next to me on the subway or the bus or the fellow parent picking up your kids from the same preschool or kindergarten that my kids go to. Even if you're not and even if our paths don't knowingly or unknowingly pass, please know that you are very special and I thank you for your blessing to us.

I am a Single Mother of Two Little Girls. Please Help With Out Rent During My Cancer Treatement.

My Story:

I am a single mom with 2 little girls, ages 5 and 3 years old. I say they're frenemies. They love, fight, hug, kiss, cry and in the end ALWAYS look out for each other. They both enjoy doing artwork. My oldest loves to dance and sing and these days is happy learning her lines for her school play 'Annie'. My 3 year old has been reading since the age of 2. My 76 year old mother also lives with us.

Both my mother and I were diagnosed with cancer, my mom with ovarian cancer first and a few weeks later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. We both had surgery and are undergoing chemo at 2 different facilities. During this time, my childcare costs and transport costs have gone up substantially as I have to pay copays, pay persons to look after the girls while I go to chemo and while I accompany my elderly mother to her appointments and chemo sessions. My salary is already very modest and the unexpected bills puts a burden on me so that I am at a point where I do not have enough to cover all of my bills. I need to pay medical insurance as I cannot lose my treatment and I can't leave my children home alone. I need Modest Needs' help to pay my rental bill.

I fear being evicted with my family especially while undergoing treatment. Your assistance will make me current with our household bills and give me a bit of financial breathing space as I feel like I am drowning. My chemo finishes next month and I will be even stronger physically to be able to take up more hours to build back my finances to take care of my family. Thank you so much for caring during our time of need.
