User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeI cannot thank you enough for your assistance in getting my request funded. This will allow me to get my son's ashes from the crematory and spread them in a small ceremony at one of his favorite outdoor sites. The crematory needed payment in full before i could receive his ashes, and since he was so young, (age 35) and his death was so unexpected, he had no life insurance. It felt so uncomfortable having to leave his ashes there since January and there was no way I could pay. You have made a huge difference for me and for my youngest son and Justin will now rest in peace. Thank you and God bless you!

My Son Died Unexpectedly. I Need Your Help Paying For His Cremation.

My Story:

I am a semi-retired mother of two sons. I live in public housing for seniors. I enjoy simple pleasures like reading, having coffee with friends, Tai Chi, and drawing. I work part time doing demonstrations of coffee products and coffee pots, and enjoy that it gets me out and meeting people.

My oldest son dropped dead suddenly at the age of 35. We haven't received the autopsy report yet, but we think it was a heart attack. He had no life insurance, was not married, and had no children. I have no savings to pay for the cremation. I have tried to build up my savings but emergency expenses keep coming up. I cannot pick up his ashes until the bill is paid in full. I need Modest Needs' help in order to receive his remains.

Your donation will allow me to receive my son's ashes and have a simple celebration of life ceremony in the spring. We would like to spread his ashes in the great outdoors that he loved. Your help would allow us to honor him the way he deserved.
