I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for everyone that has helped me and my family out during this tough time. Thanks to the help many donors have given I will be able to catch up on my rent which is a huge relief. I only hope that I can pay it forward and help others in the future. An ER Visit And Car Repair In The Same Month Made Paying Rent Impossible
My Story:
I am a divorced mother of two daughters, and a son. My oldest daughter works at a drug rehabilitation call center and hopes to become a counselor. As a recovering addict, she loves her job and finds it rewarding. I am very proud of her. My 19-year-old daughter lives at home and attends community college full-time. My son is 16 and a full-time high school student who loves football and wrestling. We have 2 fur babies, Bailey and Bentley, who we adore. I returned to college in 2012 and I earned my Associates Degree while working full-time. I hope to pursue my Bachelor's someday soon. I work full-time for a major cabinet manufacturing company and I love my job.
I live on a very tight budget and this time of the year is always hard as heating expenses and electric bills rise. Unfortunately, my car broke down and the repairs could not wait because it is my only way to work. My son needed to go to the ER which left me with even more bills. With these unexpected expenses, I cannot afford this month's rent.
Your help would take a huge amount of stress off my shoulders. You would put me fully back on my feet, back on my budget, and allow my children to see we can overcome any obstacle and there are places to turn when you need a helping hand. I am a proud woman and it is very difficult to reach out for help. Regardless of whether or not I am helped, I am thrilled to find organizations like this. It restores my faith that there are many good people out there.
