I would like to thank each and everyone that has supported us in helping our family out during this financial struggle. I know that there are many other families that are in need as well. My family is very grateful for supporters like you all that take the time and money to give and support veterans that fall into financial hardship from time. By helping my family and I gives us hope to know that there are people such as your self that care about veterans and their struggle. Thank you again and please leave no vet behind by continuing the great work that you do. God bless Marlo Wimberly
Retired Vet Used Rent Money To Pay For Car Repairs
I am a retired disabled veteran with a wife and two children ages 11 and 17. I served in Iraq in 2001-2002. Our family is very close. We love to go on trips when possible and hang out with our dog at the park. My son plays sports and daughter is in dance and in band. I was a truck driver until my mental health would not allow me to drive again. My wife is going back to school for nursing. She worked as a CNA for 10 years now she is fulfilling her dream of being a Nurse.
My family is living paycheck to paycheck being that I get disability and my wife works part time at a retirement home. She is in school and plan to finish by December to become a full-time nurse. Our only car had to be repaired and we were forced to use our rent money. I dont want to have to put my family thru living with relatives or homeless in a shelter.
The funding will bring our household current on our rent and will help our family keep our home in a stable environment My wife is soon graduating from nursing school and she will be starting a new job as a full-time nurse. We would like for our family to continue to believe in the fact that people can truly make a difference in the lives of others, and use this as our encouragement to stay strong and know can and will make it, when financial struggles arrive.
