Missed Work Due to Birth Complications, Help Us Keep Our Lights On for Newborn
I am a married mom of four great kids. Our oldest two are high honors students involved in several extracurricular activities as well as church events and community participants. Our younger son is only in elementary school but he helps out at our church as well. Our baby is just cute. She's so cute that she doesn't need to do anything else yet!
When our daughter was born in January she was a month early and had numerous medical conditions. She was only three pounds was in the NICU for several weeks struggling for her life. We both missed weeks of work and have been struggling to catch up since. We can afford our basic needs and regular payments, we just cant afford this astronomical electric bill. We are asking for Modest Needs help in covering this one expense. It would be the end of our choosing between food and this bill every month. They have already threatened shut off numerous times and we have to pay a huge deposit ($600) each time just to keep it on.
This funding will give us the opportunity to breathe and enjoy our little miracle angel. We give back in our community as much as we can and will gladly give back to modest needs once we are stable.
As of 2017-12-19, this application has been fully funded!
This request for help was funded at the recommendation and through the support of Modest Needs' donors.
Application Status Update: On 2018-01-02, Modest Needs sent payment via Check in the amount of $1,487.22 to PPL Electrci Utilitities on behalf of this deserving individual.
