Don't Let Cancer Take Our House
Last fall I went to the emergency room because I was having difficulty reaching for things and I felt 'weird'. They found a tumor in my brain. I was formerly diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage 4 Brain Cancer. I had surgery immediately to remove as much as the tumor as possible. Approximately 7 weeks later I began Chemo and Radiation therapy. I had a second surgery as the tumor returned. I am now on a new treatment with continuing Chemotherapy.
As a result I missed a lot of work and my family and I are in deep financial distress. I was not receiving any income for months until my Social Security Disability began. Even with this and my wife's income we have been unable to catch up on our bills that fell behind. Now my two children are off to college and we do not have the resources to help them.
Rent assistance will allow me to catch up on the numerous small bills that have accumulated. This is a very difficult time for my family. They face the loss of their father and husband. The pressure to take care of my needs, work and school has taken its toll emotionally and financially Thank You for your time and attention to this important matter.
