Hard Working Veteran Needs Help Keeping Up After Car Repair Expenses
My Story:
I am a married adoptive father of two children that I feel honored to have in my life. My fourteen-year-old daughter likes art and singing. She participates in choir at her school. My eight-year-old son loves to be outside and enjoys riding bikes and playing catch. We are very excited because this is my son's first year attending school due to health reasons. We are very proud of his progress and successes both academically and socially. I am a maintenance technician at a factory and my wife is a full-time student seeking a new career within her limitations after an on the job injury and subsequent health diagnosis.
Ordinarily, I earn enough to cover all our necessary expenses, but we live paycheck to paycheck. Recently, I had to repair my car to continue to have transportation for work to support my family also had to pay the deductible on my wife's car after a minor crash that was not her fault. These added unexpected costs have really strained an already tight budget. I work out of town and my wife must take the children and herself to frequent medical appointments.
I am asking Modest Needs assistance with my wife's car insurance. If we are unable to maintain the insurance, we run the risk of losing the vehicle all together. This would have a huge negative impact on my family's medical care as there are not public transportation options available where we live. I will have to choose between paying the rent and paying the car insurance if I cannot get some help. I always work any and all overtime available to me, but there has simply not been enough to catch up.
This funding will ensure continued legal and reliable transportation for my family for both essential medical appointments and other necessary activities such as grocery shopping. This may seem like a small thing but it will have huge long term positive impact on my family.
